ABOUT THE PROJECT

At Institute Mediana, we recognize the ever growing importance of research, especially in the field of sustainability and social responsibility, while also encouraging young people to enter the world of research. In 2022, we launched the Mediana – Rising Future project that gave young people, wanting to learn more about market research the opportunity to step into shoes of real researchers. Under expert mentorship and with financial investment from Mediana, they carried out various research projects and significantly contributed to awareness and knowledge on different topics of sustainability. In 2023, the project Rising Future continues with even more emphasis on connection and education. Again, we will bring together young people interested in the field of market research, companies that focus on sustainability, media and Institute Mediana as the expert partner. Partner companies will prepare challenges connecting to social responsibility and students – young researchers will try to answer these challenges with their research proposals. By doing so, they will enable partner companies to advance their efforts in the field of social responsibility. This way, young researchers will gain experience in the real world, on real cases and with real clients. This represents a great opportunity for young researchers to learn and grow, while also giving them possibilities of networking and gaining new experience that will come in handy once they finish their education.

In the spring, young researchers and representatives of partner companies will participate in a hackathon where they will receive training and workshops on market research, various methods of data use, new approaches, AI utilization and more. Hackathon will also be an excellent opportunity for networking development of optimal research plans in cooperation with the clients.

An external independent jury of experts will select the researcher that will best answer the research challenge of their client. This researcher will become the winner of Rising Future 2023. The winner will implement their research plan into practice under the mentorship of Mediana.

Institute Mediana will cover all costs for 2nd season of Mediana – Rising Future, including the implementation of research of the project winner. One of the participating companies will thus receive a pro-bono research, carried out to the highest research standards, which will empower them to take further steps in the field of social responsibility.

Participation is free for young researchers, while companies and organizations contribute a low fee.
